Hello, my name is Stephen Kastner. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) who specializes in Career Counseling. I am a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC), the National Career Development Association (NCDA), the Maryland Association for Counseling and Development (MACD), the Maryland Career Development Association (MCDA), and the Metropolitan Area Career/Life Planning Network (MAC/LPN). I have a Master of Arts, MA, in Community Counseling from The George Washington University and a Master of Science, MS, in Exercise Science from The George Washington University.  

What all of this means is that I take my work very seriously. I stay current in the field and am continuously updating my skills to provide you with the best advice and service possible.

I Too, Changed Careers

I too, know what it is like to not only change jobs but to change paths during my career. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science and worked in the field for for seven years. I loved it! I worked in hospitals, corporate fitness centers and with the police department. I enjoyed it so much that I went back to school for a Masters Degree in the field. During those two years I became very much interested in the mind body relationship and decided to become just as competent in the Mental Health Field. During my education and training as a Counselor I became very interested in how important our careers are to us and how my abilities can help others find the enjoyment and satisfaction I have found.

Where I am located

My practice is located in Northwest Washington, DC. close to the Farragut North and Farragut West Metro Stations.
